Based on a one-shot manga chapter from the fan book "My Hero Academia Ultra Age" by Kohei Horikoshi, the new short anime "I Am a Hero Too" will be released this summer. This is already the second short animation, following "More," which is based on an original short story by the author.

The story centers on the character Eri. Fans of the series will remember: The girl was rescued by Deku during the "Shie Hassaikai" story arc of the fourth anime season from the clutches of the yakuza boss "Overhaul" (Kai Chisaki). Back then, she was a frightened child who was abused by her tormentor for his sinister plans, yet she always harbored a desire to sing. In the finale of the main series, she was already shown with a guitar case on her back.

"I Am a Hero Too" picks up eight years after the conclusion of Deku and his friends' story. Eri is now a high school student herself and attends U.A. High School. The story follows her on her journey to pursue her big dream. According to official information, the short film will also feature "special staging" to tell this emotional story. The production of the short anime is part of the celebrations for the 10th anniversary of the "My Hero Academia" anime.

Further details, such as an exact release date or distribution platforms, have not yet been announced.
