In Episode 11, Bakugo suffers a crushing defeat against Shigaraki and is left severely injured, but he continues to analyze Shigaraki's movements. With Deku absent, Mirio, Tamaki, and Nejire step in to keep Shigaraki occupied and buy Tamaki time to unleash his powerful Quirk in combination with Nejire's.

Mirio taunts Shigaraki by accusing him of having no friends, provoking a reaction from Shigaraki's inner child and revealing his inner conflicts. Nejire distracts Shigaraki with her lasers and reminds him of the importance of his friends. This allows Tamaki to activate his Vast Hybrid Quirk and fire a plasma cannon alongside Nejire. However, Shigaraki remains unharmed.

Bakugo then employs a new technique, generating explosions from his body sweat, and attacks Shigaraki head-on. But Shigaraki retaliates lethally. In an emotional flashback, Bakugo recalls meeting All Might and asking for an autograph, just as Shigaraki's strike pierces his heart. The episode ends tragically with Bakugo's apparent death.
