Episode 12 begins with Deku rushing to U.A. Bakugo's heart has stopped beating after Shigaraki's attack, and Best Jeanist is trying to heal his injuries. It turns out that Dabi is still alive and has learned Shoto's new ability. Meanwhile, a villain attempts to infiltrate U.A.'s security systems.

All For One uses a technique based on Eri's Quirk to transform into a younger version of himself. However, this technique can only be used once, as the Quirk will eventually erase him from existence. Before that happens, he wants to reach Shigaraki. Hawks fights to stop him, waiting for Endeavor to arrive.

Edge Shot decides to sacrifice himself to save Bakugo. He uses his Quirk to enter Bakugo's body and perform a kind of internal heart massage to restart his heartbeat after Jeanist has stitched it up. Meanwhile, Mirko bravely fights Shigaraki but is ultimately overwhelmed. Shigaraki realizes his body isn't as perfect as he thought.

When Shigaraki tries to attack Best Jeanist, Mirio distracts him with a ridiculous pose to buy time for Deku. With a dramatic entrance, Deku sets the stage for the confrontation.
