"My Hero Academia THE MOVIE: You're Next" unveils new teaser video

In a recent update for the animated film "My Hero Academia THE MOVIE: You're Next," based on the original work by Kohei Horikoshi, a new teaser video has been released. The video reveals the new villain, who poses a major challenge for Deku and his friends, and is voiced by Kenta Miyake, known for his role as All Might.

The teaser begins ominously with a man whose voice and appearance bear a striking resemblance to the "Symbol of Peace," All Might, hinting at unrest. The teaser shows the pro-heroes in front of a massive fortress in the sky above a crumbling city and includes scenes of Deku, Bakugo, Todoroki, and other Class 1-A students fighting to protect fleeing civilians. The teaser also introduces some new characters exclusive to the film.

Kenta Miyake, who has long portrayed All Might, shared his feelings about playing a villain for the first time and taking on the role of Dark Might. He mentioned the significant challenge this dual role presents but also expressed his excitement about gaining a new perspective by embodying both the hero and the villain.

The film, set to hit theaters on August 2, is a completely new story overseen by Kohei Horikoshi. It aligns with the plot of the upcoming 7th season of the TV anime. The story takes place shortly before the final showdown between the heroes, led by Izuku Midoriya, and the villains, setting the stage for a major event that will shake the world.
