The upcoming series will be directed by Masakazu Hishida, who is collaborating with the animation studio Okuru to Noboru. The scripts for the series are overseen by Jou Aoba, a pseudonym for Hishida. Sayuri Sakimoto is in charge of character design, and the music will be composed by a team of composers including Hanae Nakamura, Tatsuhiko Saiki, Kanade Sakuma, and Daisuke Kadowaki.

The anime will feature Kouki Uchiyama as Yogiri Takatou, Miyu Tomita as Tomochika Dannoura, Tomoko Kaneda as Mokomoko Dannoura, and Yui Horie as Sion the Sage.

The light novel series, which J-Novel Club publishes in English, tells the story of Yogiri Takatou. Yogiri awakens amidst chaos as his classmates are transported to another world. Although he is left behind as bait for a dragon, Yogiri doesn't worry too much about his potential death. After all, with his secret power, he can bring about instant death at will.
