“My Instant Death Ability is So Overpowered” announces key visual and personnel additions

The TV anime "My Instant Death Ability is So Overpowered" will air on January 4, 2024. A new key visual for the series has been revealed, featuring the characters, including the protagonist Yakiri Touno and his classmate Chika Dan-no-Ura. The key visual also showcases Mokomoko Dan-no-Ura, Chika's ancestral guardian spirit, and the sage Shion, who is responsible for summoning Yakiri and his classmates.

Alongside the visual reveal, the series also announced new cast members. Mark Ishii will play Rick, a young man who aspires to become a knight of the Holy King and is considered the voice of reason. Shou Nogami will voice Lainiel, a character known for his misfortune and reliance on an "apology stone" to survive numerous life-threatening incidents. Akiyoshi Nakao is the voice of Teodizia, a girl belonging to a tribe called "Half-Demons" who lacks the talent to harness her immense magical powers. She is searching for her missing sister.

The story follows Yakiri, a high school student with the ultimate ability to kill any target instantly, and his classmate Chika. They embark on an adventure in another world after being suddenly summoned there during a school trip. The series chronicles their journey as they attempt to find a way back to their own world. Yakiri is voiced by Kouki Uchiyama, and Chika is voiced by Miyu Tomita.
