Kadokawa recently revealed important information about the upcoming anime adaptation of Nujima's "Mysterious Disappearances" manga, confirming the main cast and setting the premiere year for 2024.

Fairouz Ai and Daiki Yamashita have been selected for the lead roles in the anime, voicing the characters Sumireko Ogawa and Ren Adashino, respectively. The story of "Mysterious Disappearances" is set in the present day and revolves around Sumireko, an aspiring novelist with a passion for mysteries, and Ren, her coworker at a bookstore. The duo encounters strange incidents and embarks on missions to solve enigmatic puzzles.

Nujima launched the manga series in October 2019 on Shogakukan's web manga platform Yawaraka Spirits. Shogakukan has since released five volumes of the manga, with the latest one published on January 12. The publisher has also announced the upcoming release of the sixth volume, scheduled for July 12.
