Nazotoki wa Dinner no Ato de – Anime adaptation reveals opening theme by Nakajima Kento

The TV anime adaptation of the mystery novel Nazotoki wa Dinner no Ato de (eng. Solving Mysteries After Dinner) by Tōku Higashigawa has revealed its musical highlight in the first episode: The opening theme MONTAGE is sung by Nakajima Kento (Sexy Zone). This marks the first time the artist has contributed an anime song as a solo act.

The series follows the wealthy policewoman Hōshō Reiko (voice: Kana Hanazawa), who investigates under her eccentric superior Kazamachi Kyōichirō (Mamoru Miyano). She is supported by her sharp-witted butler Kageyama (Yūki Kaji), who solves the tricky cases at night. The dynamic between the characters, which already achieved cult status in the live-action drama adaptation (2011), is reinterpreted in the anime through colorful visuals and fast-paced dialogue.

MONTAGE was produced by the renowned composer Hiroyuki Sawano (Attack on Titan), with Nakajima himself co-writing the lyrics. The artist commented: "As a big fan of the live-action drama, it feels like fate to now contribute to the anime version." The song combines electronic beats with dramatic string arrangements, fitting the elegant yet mysterious atmosphere of the series.

Additionally, the ending song Rhapsody by BILLY BOO has been released. Both tracks are available in non-credit versions of the opening and ending on Fuji TV's official YouTube channel.
