"Negaposi Angler" - New original TV anime premieres in October

The original TV anime "Negaposi Angler" will begin airing on October 3. A key visual and a main promotional video were revealed alongside the announcement of the release date.

The anime, which centers around fishing as its main theme, features the characters Tsunehiro Sasaki, Hana Ayukawa, and Takaaki Tsutsujimori, who are shown in the key visual heading out to fish with fishing rods in hand. The main promotional video showcases the character voices of Tsunehiro and the other main figures. The opening theme "Ito" by Van de Shop and the ending theme "Shōnin Yokkyū" by 96neko can also be heard, offering a preview of the music that will be featured in the series.

Additionally, further details about the characters have been released. Haruka Tomatsu will play Ice, a part-time employee at the supermarket Every Mart where Tsunehiro works. Ice's younger brother Arua, also a part-time employee, will be voiced by Yuya Hirose. Tomatsu describes Ice as "a cheerful person you'd want to be friends with at any time." Hirose notes that Arua speaks Japanese with an accent as an exchange student.

"Negaposi Angler" is a drama that tells the story of Tsunehiro, a heavily indebted university student who is given only two years to live by his doctor. Through his encounters with fishing and the people he meets along the way, his life begins to change.
