"Neighbor's Yokai" announces additional cast members and shows 3D images in Shinjuku for the first time

The TV anime "Neighbor's Yokai," based on the original work by noho, has announced its broadcast schedule along with a series of updates, including additional cast members, the main visual, the official promotional video, and details about the theme song.

"Neighbor's Yokai" is set in the picturesque town of Enigamori, a place where humans, yokai (supernatural beings), and gods coexist. The story revolves around the curious human girl Mu-chan, Jiro the crow Tengu, and Bucchio, who transforms from a cat into a Bakeneko, depicting their joyful daily lives filled with wonders. The main roles are voiced by Asaki Yukawa (Mu-chan), Ryosuke Higa (Jiro), and Yuki Kaji (Bucchio).

The newly revealed cast includes twelve additional actors, such as Jin Urayama as the proud long-nosed Tengu Enka Yamata Tazenbo, Yoha Ochi as the fox spirit Tachibana Yuri, Kenji Hamada as Yuri's human friend Tanaka Hei, and Mutsumi Tamura as Takumi Oishi, the second son of Bucchio's human household. Other cast members include Yubiko Sanno as the friendly Sano Ryu, Megumi Han as the Kappa Nakagawa Niji, Yuko Kaida as the wolf-like Tengu Gubin no Hayachio, and Tetsu Mikami as one of the twelve demon lords Yamon Gorozaemon. Also joining are Ayako Kawasumi as the Nekomata Sakaki Suzu, Ryomaru Tachibana as Kobayashi Benmaru, who was reborn as "Betobeto-san," Toki Kawashima as the car deity Kuruma no Tsukumogami Nishitani Chiaki, and Hideyuki Tanaka as Chiaki's human companion Nishitani Kazuhiko.

The main visual accompanying the announcement features the characters in winter clothing, highlighting their close relationships. The video begins with Mu-chan cheerfully calling out to Jiro, showcasing the emotional bond between humans and yokai, emphasizing the heartwarming camaraderie in the series.

The opening theme "Ghost Sunflower" is performed by Pii (the solo project name of PORIN from Awesome City Club), while the ending theme "Iro No Naka" is by Aoi Kubo.
