The streaming platform Netflix released the first trailer for Exception, a new space horror anime. The video was accompanied by the announcement of the voice actors and the date of the world premiere, which is scheduled for October 13.



During its TUDUM event, the opening sequence was also released.



For this new animation production, the following cast was announced:

- Chikahiro Kobayashi as Lewis

- Takahiro Sakurai as Mac

- Yuko Kaida as Nina

- Takanori Hoshino as Oscar

- Atsumi Tanezaki as Patty

This new project, originally announced in June of last year, is based on an original story by novelist and film director Hirotaka Adachi "Otsuichi."

In the distant future, humanity has been driven from Earth and forced to relocate its population to another galaxy. The members of an exploration team are sent to find a suitable planet for terraforming. The crew is created using a biological 3D printer, but a system malfunction causes one of the crew members, Lewis, to become deformed. As Lewis turns against his crewmates Nina, Mack, Patty, and Oscar, a countdown to the end of the mission begins in the terrifying darkness of the ship.
