The first concept image for the Mobile Suit Gundam live-action film was released today. The concept image shows the titular Gundam surrounded by flames and comes from the ILM Art Department. The previously announced film is being produced by Legendary Pictures for Netflix outside of China. Within China, Legendary Pictures will release the live-action film in theaters.
Jordan Vogt-Roberts serves as director and executive producer for the film, and comic writer Brian K. Vaughan is writing the screenplay and serving as executive producer. Makoto Asanuma is also an executive producer.
