Kadokawa announced that the TV anime adaptation of Akumi Agitogi's and Tsukiho Tsukioka's light novel My Happy Marriage will be released on Netflix later this year. The series is also set to air on Japanese television in July. Along with this news, the official Netflix Anime Twitter account has released an English version of the first image of the anime. The anime's voice cast includes Reina Ueda as Miyo Saimori and Kaito Ishikawa as Kiyoki Kudo. Additional cast members are Ayane Sakura, Kōtarō Nishiyama, Houko Kuwashima, and Hiro Shimono.

The series is produced by Kinema Citrus under the direction of Takehiro Kubota. The script is written by Ami Satо̄, Takahito Ōnishi, and Momoka Toyoda. Shōko Yasuda designs the characters, and Evan Call composes the music.

The story follows Miyo Saimori, who is born into a noble family and married off to Kiyoka, a soldier with a heart of stone. Despite his cold demeanor, Miyo begins to open her heart to him and sees it as an opportunity to find true love and happiness.
