Netflix exclusively streams the new Gundam series “Mobile Suit Gundam: Requiem of Revenge”

The Gundam franchise continues to expand with its latest original anime series, "Mobile Suit Gundam: Requiem of Revenge," announced for exclusive worldwide streaming on Netflix. Alongside this announcement, a teaser trailer has also been released.

This new project, "Mobile Suit Gundam: Requiem of Revenge," is a collaborative production between Sunrise and SAFEHOUSE, utilizing the advanced 3D production tool Unreal Engine 5. The story is set in the same timeline as the original "Mobile Suit Gundam" TV anime and focuses on the European front of the One-Year War, particularly from the perspective of the Zeon forces. The roughly 90-second teaser trailer features glowing mono-eyes in the darkness, numerous Zakus descending from the sky, and a silhouette resembling a Gundam.

"Mobile Suit Gundam: Requiem of Revenge" consists of six episodes, each 30 minutes long. Erasmus Brosdau directs the series, with Gavin Hignight serving as the screenwriter. The lead role is played by Celia Massingham. Kunitoshi Yamada, known for his mechanical designs in "Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th MS Team," "Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin," and "Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway's Flash," is responsible for the mechanical design of this series.
