The Netflix Anime Festival 2020 announced Pacific Rim: The Black and "Vampire in the Garden" for the next year on the streaming service.

Polygon Pictures (BLAME!, Godzilla: Planet of the Monsters trilogy) will produce the 3D-animated series Pacific Rim, based on the live-action films. Craig Kyle and Greg Johnson are the co-showrunners of the Legendary Entertainment series, and the story will "follow two siblings—an idealistic teenage boy and his naive younger sister—who are forced to pilot an abandoned Jaeger across a hostile landscape in a desperate attempt to find their missing parents."

Studio Wit will be responsible for Vampire in the Garden. Ryoutarou Makihara (Hal, The Empire of Corpses) is directing the anime, while Hiroyuki Tanaka (Claymore, Hellsing Ultimate) serves as assistant director. Tetsuya Nishio (Boruto -Naruto the Movie-, The Sky Crawlers) designs the characters and serves as chief animation director. Shunichiro Yoshihara (Attack on Titan, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure) is the art director.

The anime tells the story of "two girls, Momo and Fine, from different backgrounds who meet by chance. A tale of an unlikely friendship between the human and vampire races, intertwined with the power of music."
