During the recently held Aniplex Online Fest 2023, new details were revealed about "Black Butler: Public School Arc," an upcoming anime adaptation of Yana Toboso's famous manga "Black Butler." The series is scheduled to premiere in 2024.

The story is set in 19th-century England and revolves around the butler Sebastian Michaelis and his 13-year-old master, Earl Ciel Phantomhive, who serves as the "Queen's Watchdog." The duo is tasked with investigating the mysterious disappearance of Queen Victoria's relative, Derrick, at Weston College.

Voice actors Daisuke Ono and Maaya Sakamoto will return to voice Sebastian Michaelis and Ciel Phantomhive, respectively. The anime is directed by Kenjirō Okada, with CloverWorks handling the production. Hiroyuki Yoshino, known for his work on previous adaptations of Black Butler, will oversee the series' script. Yumi Shimizu, who worked on the 2008 Black Butler anime, is responsible for character design, while Ryo Kawasaki will compose the series' music.
