New TV anime series "Okinawa Love Story" introduces main actors and teaser

A new TV anime titled "Okinawa Love Story: The Dialect Too Thick to Understand" has revealed its main cast along with a teaser video and images. The story, based on the manga by Sora Egumi and published by Shinchosha, is set in Okinawa. It follows Teruaki Nakamura, a high school student who transfers from Tokyo to an Okinawan high school, where he falls in love with a girl named Hinaka Kyan, who speaks a thick local dialect, making communication between the two difficult. The anime not only explores the budding romance between them but also showcases Okinawa's unique cultural aspects, offering a mix of love and local humor.

The voice cast includes Tsuyoshi Otsuka as Teruaki Nakamura, Akari Kito as Hinaka Kyan, and Ai Fairouz as Kanana Higa, who acts as a translator between Teruaki and Hinaka. The teaser video provides a glimpse of the characters' voices and dynamics, highlighting the challenges and charms of their interactions.
