To mark the 25th anniversary of the manga imprint Comic Bunch, publisher Shinchosha has released a new animated PV for the series "Gokushufudo" (The Way of the Househusband). The short film was uploaded on June 9, 2026, to the official YouTube channel of Comic Bunch and features a previously unreleased scene: Tatsu's raid on a rival Yakuza headquarters in his past—an episode not found in the original manga.

The main roles are once again voiced by Kenjiro Tsuda (Tatsu) and Shizuka Ito (Miku), who were already heard in previous anime adaptations. The video contains numerous exclusive elements, including characters that do not appear in the Netflix anime series. Production of the PV was once again handled by J.C.Staff, who are also responsible for the two Netflix seasons.

The new PV coincides with the release of the 17th manga volume, which also hit Japanese stores on June 9. The series by Kousuke Oono started in 2018 on the Kurage Bunch platform and has since sold over four million copies. In addition to the anime adaptation, the material has also been adapted as a live-action series and a film starring Hiroshi Tamaki as Tatsu.

From June 13 to July 5, 2026, the exhibition "Bunch 25th Anniversary Original Art Exhibition – Shukusai" will take place at the Tokyo Gallery ZENON. There, the PV will be shown alongside around 80 framed illustrations by 25 different artists, including works by Tetsuo Hara, Tsukasa Hojo, and Ryuji Tsugihara. Signed color plates and motifs drawn specifically for the exhibition will also be on display. Tickets are available online and at the box office, with advance reservation recommended.

The new PV underscores the ongoing popularity of the series, which delights fans worldwide with its humorous mix of Yakuza drama and household routine.
