A new story visual has been released for the TV anime series "Witch Hat Atelier" (Japanese: "Tongari Boushi no Atelier"), centering on the two characters Coco and Tarta. At the same time, the first summary and preview scene images for the tenth episode, titled "Silver Promise" (Japanese: "Gin-iro no Yakusoku"), which aired on June 8, 2026, have been announced.

The new motif shows key moments between the magic-enthusiastic Coco and the boy Tarta, who works in a shop for magical materials in the city of Kalhn. The plot of Episode 10 begins when the mage Qifrey and Tarta bring the exhausted and feverish Coco to the hospital. Tarta learns that Coco became Qifrey's apprentice as an "Unknowing" – meaning someone who is not a mage by birth. This awakens painful memories of his own situation: Tarta suffers from the so-called "Silver Sight" (Japanese: "Gindamisho"), a visual impairment that makes the entire world appear in shades of gray to him.

When a fire breaks out in the city and Qifrey rushes to help, Coco's condition worsens. Tarta, who has extensive medical knowledge, faces a seemingly impossible task: In the medicine cabinet, he cannot distinguish the remedies from each other because they can only be differentiated by their color – an insurmountable obstacle for him. With Coco's support, however, he develops a clever reversal spell that allows him to identify the correct remedy. The episode ends with a hopeful pact: Tarta promises Coco that one day he will cross the river with his own magic to bring her a self-made pen holder.

The series has been airing since April 6, 2026, every Monday at 11:00 PM on TOKYO MX and other channels, and is available for simulcast on platforms including Netflix and Abema. The underlying manga source material by Kamome Shirahama has been serialized in the magazine "Morning Two" (Kodansha) since 2016 and has sold over nine million copies worldwide. For its artistic and narrative quality, the series was awarded the Eisner Award for Best Asian Work in 2020, among others. The animation of the anime is handled by Studio Bug Films, with direction by Ayumu Watanabe.

Additionally, two new voice actor roles have been announced for Episodes 10 and 11: Ryusei Nakao voices Sasaran, and Yōsai Ishibashi lends his voice to Yuni.
