To bring the popular mobile game Disney Twisted Wonderland to life, a first look at the anime series was presented at AnimeJapan 2025. The story follows Yūken Enman, a student at the urban Hibari High School, who is transported to the enchanted world of Twisted Wonderland during a mysterious encounter with a black carriage. There, he unwillingly enrolls in the prestigious Night Raven College, an institution inspired by iconic Disney antagonists such as the Queen of Hearts (Alice in Wonderland), Scar (The Lion King), and Ursula (The Little Mermaid).

The released teaser offers glimpses of the series' dark-fantasy aesthetic, which blends familiar Disney motifs with a unique twist. Yōhei Azakami, the voice actor for the protagonist, emphasized in a statement his determination to authentically portray the inexperienced Yūken.

Musically, the production features the opening song "Piece of My World" by the in-game band Night Ravens, while composer Takumi Ozawa (Twisted Wonderland game soundtrack) contributes new pieces for the anime adaptation. The series, set to premiere exclusively on a global streaming platform starting in October, adapts the manga version into three seasons: Episode of Heartslabyul, Episode of Savanaclaw, and Episode of Octavinelle.
