New anime adaptation for revenge fantasy novel announced

The light novel series Shinjiteita Nakama-tachi ni Danjon Okuchi de Korosarekaketa ga Gift „Mugen Gacha“ de Level 9999 no Nakama-tachi o Te ni Irete Moto Party Member to Sekai ni Fukushū & „Zamaa!“ Shimasu! by author Shisui Meikyo is receiving a TV anime adaptation, set to begin in fall 2024. A first teaser, visual motifs, and details about the cast have been released.

The story follows Light, a human boy who is considered the weakest link in a world dominated by nine species. After his own party betrays him in the deepest dungeon, he discovers the "gift" of the Infinite Gacha, which allows him to summon powerful allies of level 9999. Determined to take revenge on his former comrades and the world, a strategic battle for justice begins.

The visual previews show Light amidst dark dungeon settings, flanked by his new companions and the antagonistic former party members. Rina Tamashiro (Love Live! Superstar!!) voices the protagonist, while Ikumi Hasegawa (Bocchi the Rock!) plays the role of the loyal servant Mei. The direction is handled by Katsushi Sakurabi (A Certain Scientific Railgun), supported by screenwriter Hiroshi Ōnogi (Macross Frontier).
