The fantasy series Kanchigai no Kōbōshu (English: The Misunderstood Workshop Master) – based on the light novel by Yōsuke Tokino – will premiere on April 6, 2024. The story follows Kurt, a former support member of the hero's party, who, despite his extraordinary non-combat abilities (SSS-rank), is dismissed as useless. After his expulsion, he begins a new life filled with unexpected challenges and encounters.
Extended cast:
- Ayana Taketatsu (known from Sword Art Online) as Shiena, a member of the adventurer group Sakura.
- Kaito Ishikawa (Haikyu!!) and Takuya Eguchi (My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU) as Kansu and Danzou, fellow party members.
The released key visual features Kurt alongside his companions Yurishia and Rieserotte, as well as new characters in front of his workshop – a promise of humorous dynamics and imaginative world-building.
The boy group MeseMoa. contributes the energetic opening song FACSTORY. The rock band LOT SPiRiTS accompanies the ending with the melancholic track Haru ni Kiete (English: Disappearing in Spring).
