New anime adaptation Ninja to Gokudo starts in October on Nippon TV

The manga series Ninja to Gokudo (engl. Ninja and the Extreme Path) by Shinsuke Kondo is receiving a TV adaptation, which will air on Nippon TV in October 2024. For the announcement, a first key visual, a teaser trailer, as well as details about the cast and production were released.

The series follows two unusual protagonists:

- Tanaka Shinoha: A ninja who fights "evil" by his own rules.

- Kimura Kiwami: A seemingly elite office worker who secretly leads a yakuza group.

The two become friends while discussing girl anime – unaware that they are on opposite sides of a covert war. As the conflict between ninja clans and the underworld escalates, their worlds inevitably collide.

- Kouki Kobayashi (Jujutsu Kaisen, Blue Lock) as Tanaka Shinoha.

- Katsuyuki Konishi (Bleach, Fairy Tail) as Kimura Kiwami.

- Sumire Uesaka (SPY×FAMILY, Chainsaw Man) as Gamute, leader of the assassin group Shattered Children and member of the Eight Extremes of Destruction.

Based on the manga published by Kōdansha, the series combines martial arts intensity with black humor and explores themes of loyalty, identity, and the gray areas between good and evil. Fans can look forward to a mix of epic duels, psychological power plays, and unusual friendship dynamics.
