New anime adaptation Tōgen Anki ("Dark Demons of the Peach Garden") reveals details: Second trailer and key visual

Extensive updates were presented for the upcoming series Tōgen Anki by Yura Urushibara at AnimeJapan 2025. The dark fantasy story, inspired by the Momotaro myth, follows Shiki Ichinose, a teenager with demonic heritage who attends the "Rasetsu Academy"—a school for training supernatural fighters. A second trailer offers glimpses into the academy's ominous atmosphere, accompanied by the opening theme OVERNIGHT by the band THE ORAL CIGARETTES.

A newly released key visual depicts Shiki and his allies in a mysterious underground area, led by the enigmatic instructor Mutano Mukuto. Additionally, Ryōhei Kimura (Haikyu!!) was announced as the voice of the charismatic antagonist Kyouya Hanaguisaka, who plays a pivotal role in the conflict between the descendants of demons and Momotaro.

The series, produced by an experienced team, blends traditional Japanese folklore with modern mystery elements. The broadcast begins in July 2025, with the story exploring themes of moral ambiguity and the search for identity in a world shaped by prejudice.
