New anime adaptation Watashi Ga Koibito nareru Wakenaijan, Muri Muri! (Muri yes nakatta!?) Starts in July

The rom-com series Watashi ga Koibito ni Nareru Wakenaijan, Muri Muri! (Muri ja Nakatta!?) (Eng. There’s No Way I Can Have a Love Relationship! Impossible! (Or Was It Not Impossible!?)), based on the light novel by Mikami Teren, will premiere as a TV anime in July 2024. A teaser trailer, new character designs, and additional voice actors have now been revealed.

The story follows Renako Amaori (voiced by Kanna Nakamura), who aims to reinvent herself as a "shy wallflower type" in high school. Her life takes a turn when she meets Mayui Ōzuka (voiced by Saori Ōnishi), the school’s most popular girl. What begins as an involuntary connection evolves into a tumultuous relationship that turns Renako’s notions of love and self-discovery upside down.
