A new project, which is being created in collaboration between A1-Pictures and the newly founded studio TROYCA, has been announced. Aldnoah Zero will be the title of the original mecha anime and is set to premiere in summer 2014.
Fate/Zero director Ei Aoki is leading the project, and Gen Urobuchi will design the scenario for it. Katsuhiko Takayama (Ga-Rei Zero, Mirai Nikki) is writing the script, while the character designs are provided by Hourou Musuko mangaka Takako Shimura. These will be adapted for animation by Atsuko Matsumoto. The mecha designs come from, among others, Kenji Teraoka, who has worked on productions like Code Geass and Gundam 00. Hiroyuki Sawano (Kill la Kill, Attack on Titan) is composing the soundtrack.
With such a dream team, one can reasonably expect great things. First artwork below:
