New anime comedy Alma-chan wa Kazoku ni Naritai announced

First insights including a teaser video, casting details, and visual motifs have been released for the manga adaptation Alma-chan wa Kazoku ni Naritai (German: Alma wants to become part of a family) by author Nanateru. The series, set to release in 2025, combines humor with heartwarming family moments in an unusual setting.

At the center is Alma, a powerful girl with artificial intelligence who was developed as a weapon system. Her creators – the eccentric scientist Engi Kamisato and his pragmatic assistant Suzume Yoba – attempt to provide her with a "normal" family life, leading to chaotic everyday situations.

The voice cast includes:

- Hizuka Tsukishiro (D4DJ) as the energetic Alma

- Ryōta Suzuki (Jujutsu Kaisen) as the genius-chaotic Engi

- M・A・O (Kaguya-sama: Love Is War) as the down-to-earth Suzume

The teaser offers glimpses into Alma's origin story and shows the first interactions of the unconventional trio. Through dynamic animation, both humorous dialogues and action scenes are hinted at, highlighting Alma's dual nature as a lovable daughter and a formidable fighting machine.
