New anime production Necronomi-Ko No Cosmic Horror Show (Necronomi-KOS Cosmic horror spectacle) unveiled by Cygames

The original anime series by game developer Cygames will premiere in July 2025. Alongside the series announcement, a second teaser visual and an expanded cast list have been released.

- Visual Insights: The second key visual highlights the protagonist Kuro no Miko (voiced by Rihoko Sugiyama) among newly introduced characters, including mysterious antagonists and allies.

- Expanded Cast: Newly announced voice actors include Reiitsu Kawashima (role: Eita), Atsushi Tamaru (Seijirou Sano), and Sayumi Watanabe (Kei Amakumo). Hiroki Yasumoto voices the "Game Master."

The series follows Miko, a young streamer who dives into the world of virtual entertainment after school. Alongside her longtime friend Mayu and rival Kanna, she participates in a groundbreaking VR game project—but the lines between game and reality begin to blur.

The mix of horror, comedy, and sci-fi elements is reflected in the surreal designs of the VR worlds. Cygames combines digital animation with traditional hand-drawn techniques to emphasize the dark-psychedelic atmosphere.
