New anime series Aru Majo Ga Shinu Made (when the witch dies) reveals the first insights

For the premiere preparation of the fantasy series Aru Majo ga Shinu made, set images, a short trailer, and a summary of the first episode have been released. The darkly fairy-tale atmosphere of the adaptation is the focus of the published materials.

In Episode 1, titled "The Witch with the Last Year," young witch apprentice Meg Rasuberī receives a devastating prophecy from her mentor Fausto: On her 17th birthday, she learns she has only one year left to live. Initially sinking into lethargy, Meg is confronted with a mysterious case—a girl asks for her help because the girl’s mother is trapped in an unnatural sleep. This task could unexpectedly change Meg’s perspective.

The set images show dense forest landscapes, eerily lit interiors, and symbolic details like a melting hourglass. The color palette oscillates between warm earth tones and cool blue accents to emphasize the duality of hope and despair.
