A new anime adaptation has been officially announced: „Awashima Hyakkei“ (Awashima Hundred Views), based on the work of renowned mangaka Takako Shimura, is in production. The series is dedicated to the stories of young women who attend a school for performing arts and pursue the dream of standing on stage. In an episodic narrative style, the project highlights their individual paths, between ambition, self-doubt, and personal growth.

The animation studio Madhouse, known for series such as Sousou no Frieren and Chi.: Chikyuu no Undou ni Tsuite, has been enlisted for the adaptation. Direction is handled by Morio Asaka, who has previously worked on productions like Chihayafuru. The character design is by Kunihiko Hamada, while Yasuhiro Nakanishi is responsible for series composition.

Alongside the announcement, a first visual motif as well as a teaser video were released.
