The creative minds behind the series include producer Adi Shankar, known for his work on Castlevania, and writer Alex Larsen, associated with Yasuke. The duo completed the scripts for the first season in November of last year.
The main characters from the original game series, namely Dante, Vergil, and Lady, are expected to appear in the series.
Adi Shankar revealed his involvement in the project back in 2018, hinting that the new series would be set in the same universe as Castlevania, referring to it as a "bootleg multiverse."
