The central motif and a first trailer have been released for the adaptation of Natsumi Eguchi’s manga Dekin no Mogura (German: The Cursed Mole). The series, which premieres in July 2024, combines supernatural elements with black humor.

At the center is the enigmatic Mogura, who claims to have been banished from the afterlife and is therefore immortal. His encounters with the inhabitants of the human world unfold into absurd to mysterious stories. The key visual unites Mogura with other key figures, including the members of the Nekatsuke family – a traditional lineage of exorcists. Among the newly announced voice actors are:

- Ayumu Murase as Kōshirō, a student with an ambivalent connection to Mogura

- Shunsuke Takeuchi as Fujishirō, Kōshirō’s father and experienced ghost hunter

- Atsumi Tanezaki as Kyōko, the matriarchal force of the family

The trailer offers glimpses into the darkly comedic atmosphere and presents the characters’ dialogues for the first time. The animation is handled by Studio Brain’s Base (Natsume’s Book of Friends), under the direction of Hiroshi Ishidate (Violet Evergarden).
