New anime series "Disqualified from Another World" starts in July with Hiroshi Kamiya in the lead role

The upcoming TV anime "Disqualified from Another World" will begin airing in July and features Hiroshi Kamiya as the protagonist, experiencing his first transition to another world. Alongside Kamiya, Rumi Okubo plays Annette, Sayumi Suzushiro as Tama, and Makoto Koichi as Nia in the anime. This marks Kamiya's first role as a character transported to another world, where he humorously notes that his character is already deemed "disqualified."

The anime is based on the work of Hiroki Noda and Takahiro Wakamatsu and follows the adventures of a literary figure named "Sensei," who is transported to another world after a double suicide attempt with his lover. Tasked with the role of a hero, he embarks on a journey to reunite with his lost love in this new world.

A key visual released alongside the announcement shows Sensei at the center, surrounded by Annette, Tama, and Nia, with the slogan "A second life full of shame begins." Additionally, the first promotional video was unveiled, giving fans a glimpse into the anime's setting and characters.

"Disqualified from Another World" explores Sensei's quest in a fantasy setting driven by a hero's mission and the search for his beloved, offering a unique take on the isekai genre.
