A new TV anime adaptation of the manga "Kuroneko to Majo no Kyōshitsu" by Yōsuke Kaneda is in production. The series is scheduled to begin in April 2026.
The story is a school fantasy adventure and follows Spica Valgo, an aspiring witch who cannot use magic. To attend her dream school, she needs a mentor. Having neither money nor connections, she forms a pact with Claude Sirius, a former human magician who was turned into a black cat. In exchange for her help in breaking his curse, he teaches her magic.
