New anime "Yuusha no Kuzu / The Trash of the Hero" shows first images

First visual impressions have been released for the announced TV anime adaptation of the series "Yuusha no Kuzu". It has also been confirmed that the series will be produced in two consecutive seasons.

The story is set in a world where defeating demon bosses has become the profession of the "hero". The plot follows the freelance hero Yashiro, the "Reaper", into whose life the high school student Shiromine enters, pretending to be his disciple and involving him in various troubles.

A newly released key visual shows Yashiro, Shiromine, and other main characters. At the same time, a first promotional video trailer has been released.

In addition to the already known voice actors, further roles have been cast:

- Haruto Tadokoro as Joe "Salt"

- Daisuke Hirakawa as Ishinou "The Musician"

- Yasuhiro Takato as Maruta "The Sneak"

The musical accompaniment has also been announced. The opening song for the first season is "GUN POWDER" by TOOBOE. The ending song is titled "Mental Rental" and is performed by the singer Shikon.

The original light novel series is also being released in a newly designed edition, with its publication planned for January and February 2026.
