Hakusensha's latest issue of Young Animal announced a new anime adaptation of Kentarou Miura's Berserk manga. However, the exact format has not yet been confirmed (previously, the films were remakes).
At the Winter Comiket, taking place from December 29th to 31st, NBC Universal will present a first promotional video. Miura-sensei mentioned in the magazine that the new anime project will focus on Guts' appearance as the "Black Swordsman," which has so far only appeared in the manga and was briefly featured in the first and last episodes of the 1997 anime.
Kentarou Miura's Berserk manga will also go on another hiatus starting with the next chapter, until summer 2016.
