For the upcoming anime adaptation of the manga "Kōri no Jōheki" (The Ramparts of Ice), another voice actor has been announced. Chiaki Kobayashi joins the cast and lends his voice to the character Tsubasa Igarashi.

At the same time, official illustrations for two more characters of the series were released: Uppi, a popular theme park mascot, and Ponta, a fluffy Pomeranian dog.

Tsubasa Igarashi is a popular, yet straightforward classmate from the middle school of the two main characters Koyuki and Miki. He now, like them, attends the first year of high school. The anime tells a coming-of-age story centered around the reserved high school student Koyuki Hikawa, who has emotionally built a wall around herself.

The series is based on the webmanga of the same name by Kōcha Agasawa, which was serialized on LINE Manga from January 2020 to April 2022 and reached a large readership. The direction is by Mankyū at Studio KAI.

The main cast also includes Anna Nagase as Koyuki Hikawa, Fūka Izumi as Miki Azumi, Shōya Chiba as Minato Amamiya, and Satoshi Inomata as Yōta Hino. The series will be streamed worldwide on Netflix starting early April 2026.

It has been confirmed that the voice actors for the roles of Miki and Yōta will appear at a special stage event for the series during AnimeJapan 2026. This convention, one of the largest anime events, takes place at the end of March at Tokyo Big Sight.
