New chapter for Hibike! Euphonium: Final Anime film announced

On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the popular anime series Hibike! Euphonium (Japanese: Hibike! Yūfoniamu), the production of a concluding film was announced on March 16 during a gala event at the Pacifico Yokohama National Convention Hall. The final chapter, titled Hibike! Euphonium: The Final Movement (Japanese: Saishū Shōshō Hibike! Yūfoniamu), is set to premiere in Japanese theaters in 2026, bringing the story of the Kitauji High School concert band members to a close.

Hibike! Euphonium portrays the emotional and artistic journey of Kumiko and her classmates as they strive for musical perfection and navigate interpersonal relationships. The series is considered a masterpiece of the "slice-of-life" genre, setting new standards with its detailed animation and profound character development.
