New character designs for [i]Futsutsuka na Akujo de wa Gozaimasu ga: Hinamiyachouso Torikae-den[/i] released

Fresh character visuals have been revealed for the upcoming anime adaptation of Futsutsuka na Akujo de wa Gozaimasu ga: Hinamiyachouso Torikae-den. The illustrations, specially created by character designer Ai Kikuchi, show the two main characters Huang Lingling and Zhu Huizui in their original forms before the body swap occurs.

Lingling, known as His Highness's Butterfly, captivates with her intelligence, beauty, and is admired by all. Despite her delicate appearance and weak constitution, she possesses remarkable perseverance and a strong inner backbone. Huizui, on the other hand, suffers from strong feelings of inferiority and is shunned as a villainess due to her deceitful nature. Driven by jealousy toward Lingling, she resorts to forbidden magic and swaps identities with her.

The story begins in the palace, where potential future consorts are being trained. After swapping bodies, Lingling and Huizui face a period of great challenges and personal changes. While Lingling seeks her own path despite all adversities, Huizui begins to reconsider her attitude through her new perspective. The animation production is handled by Doga Kobo.
