The TV anime "The Elusive Samurai," based on the manga by Yuusei Matsui, has released a new character image and a new trailer featuring the character Kojiro. Actress Mari Hino, who voices Kojiro, shared her thoughts on this role.

Kojiro, a swordsman from the group "Feline Swordsmen" in the anime, is known for his sword skills that rival those of adults. Hino recalled her excitement when she was cast for the role and humorously noted that her manager, aware of potential complications, managed to curb her overenthusiastic reaction. Hino expressed her determination to bring strength and dignity to the character of Kojiro.

The anime's plot follows Tokiyuki Hojo, the second son of the leader of the Kamakura Shogunate, Hojo Takatoki. Based on historical events, it depicts Tokiyuki's escape from Kamakura with the help of the priest Suwa Yorishige, who claims to be a deity. The story unfolds as Tokiyuki loses everything due to a rebellion led by the military official Takauji Ashikaga and navigates his way through the turbulent times while on the run. The manga is currently being serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump.
