New Character Visual for 'The Irregular at Magic High School The Movie – Yotsuba Succession Arc' Shows Sakurai Minami in Her Familiar Maid Uniform

A new character visual of Sakurai Minami has been released for the upcoming theatrical film 'The Irregular at Magic High School The Movie – Yotsuba Succession Arc'. The image depicts the young mage in her familiar maid uniform, which she wears as part of her duties for the powerful Yotsuba family. Her expression appears unusually serious, hinting at the dramatic events that will befall the Yotsuba family. The film opens in Japanese theaters on May 8, 2026.

The film's plot is based on the arc of the same name from the popular light novel series 'The Irregular at Magic High School' by Tsutomu Sato. It begins when siblings Tatsuya and Miyuki Shiba receive an invitation to the 'Keishunkai,' a gathering of the Yotsuba family where the next family head will be determined. This invitation sets off a chain of revelations and conflicts. Sakurai Minami, who was introduced as a guardian for Miyuki Shiba and is officially considered her cousin, will play an important role.

Director Jimmy Stone is in charge of the film's production at Studio Eightbit, while Kana Ishida once again contributes the character design. The film is distributed by Aniplex. The already announced cast includes Yuichi Nakamura as Tatsuya Shiba, Saori Hayami as Miyuki Shiba, and Chiwa Saito as Yotsuba Maya.
