New character voices announced for the anime adaptation of "Yowayowa Sensei"

A first look at the upcoming adaptation of the manga template "Yowayowa Sensei" into an anime series is now available. A teaser video has been released, giving an impression of the series' visual and vocal design. Simultaneously, the voice actors for several more characters of the story have been officially confirmed.

Four new voices join the ensemble

The newly announced performers and their roles are:

- Yurie Ikoma voices Mizuki Kurebayashi, a popular and athletic classmate who is described as a confident friend.

- Yuu Shinohara lends her voice to Yuki Shimomori, an absent-minded student with a pronounced preference.

- Yuuko Natsuyoshi takes on the role of Kaya Kuguri, a photography-enthusiastic high school senior known for her expressive manner.

- Mie Nakahara voices Akemi Abikura, the caring older sister of one of the main characters.

Some of the voice actors have shared their thoughts on taking on their respective roles. Yurie Ikoma described her character as a versatile and expressive person. Yuu Shinohara expressed her anticipation of portraying such an interesting character. Yuuko Natsuyoshi commented that she will strive to take good photos for her role as an enthusiastic photographer. Mie Nakahara announced her intention to play her character with great devotion and care.

The central roles of the series are voiced by Marika Kouno as the anxious and physically weak teacher Hiyori Hiwamura and Sho Hatano as her student Akito Abikura. The series adaptation is produced by Studio Brain's Base. The direction is handled by Hiroshi Ishiodori, while Yoshifumi Fukushima is responsible for the series composition. The character design is by Naoki Aisaka, and the musical accompaniment is composed by Akifumi Tada and Rina Tayama.

The series, which is classified in the romantic comedy genre, tells the story of Hiyori Hiwamura. The young English teacher is feared by her students due to her shy and awkward demeanor and is even thought to be a witch. In reality, however, she is anxious and insecure. Her secret is discovered by the student Akito Abikura, who then decides to help her build her self-confidence and resolve the misunderstanding among her classmates. The dynamic and often clumsy relationship between the vulnerable teacher and her helpful student forms the core of the narrative.

The anime series for Kamio Fukuchi's manga "Yowayowa Sensei" (English title: Yowayowa Sensei) is scheduled to start in April.
