New characters and fourth preview video for [i]Katainaka no Ossan, Kenshi ni Naru[/i] introduced

For the currently airing anime "Katainaka no Ossan, Kenshi ni Naru," two new characters have been announced: Ai Kayano voices the warm-hearted and competent Rose Marbleheart, while Hidenobu Kiuchi portrays the esteemed commander Gatoga Razorn. Alongside the announcement, the fourth official preview video (PV) was released.

Rose Marbleheart is the vice-commander of the knights of the Sufendyardvania Church Order. She has a charming personality and traveled through various regions before briefly training under the swordsmaster Beryl – an experience that left a lasting impression on him as well. Her defensive sword technique is remarkable.

Gatoga Razorn, who leads the knights, is considered one of the finest swordsmen in the country and enjoys high esteem among his comrades. The newly released preview shows, among other things, Rose's reunion with Beryl as well as scenes from his life with the young magician Mewy – a central element of the upcoming episode.

Episode 7, titled "The Swordsmaster from the Countryside and the Worries of a Substitute Father," focuses on Beryl's attempt to create a familial environment for Mewy. Upon learning that her future magic academy has a dormitory, he faces the question of which environment would be best for her in the long term.

The anime series is based on a fantasy novel about Beryl, an experienced yet reclusive swordsmanship instructor from the countryside. Through the recommendation of one of his now-successful students, he is appointed as a special instructor for the knight order. The main role of Beryl is voiced by Hiroaki Hirata.
