One day before the theatrical release, the official YouTube channel of »Keroro Gunsō« (German: »Sgt. Frog«) has released another clip from the upcoming film »Shingekijoban☆Keroro Gunso Fukatsushite Sokko Chikyu Metsubo no Kiki de arimasu!«. The nearly one-minute scene is titled »Mysterious Yōkai!?-Version« and offers a preview of the mysterious events in Shibuya.

In the clip, the Hinata family is seen leaving for a vacation in Okinawa, having to leave Keroro and Giroro behind. While Keroro initially lies disappointed and parched on the floor, he receives a call from Fuyuki: a horde of eerie figures has appeared in Shibuya, throwing the city into panic. When the two turn on the TV, they see the creatures randomly attacking passersby. Giroro notices that the attackers are only visible to those wearing a specific wristwatch. Determined not to be overtaken by rivals in world conquest, Keroro and Giroro set off for Shibuya. Meanwhile, the clip shows a huge passenger plane suddenly appearing over the Hinatas' holiday island.

The film is the first theatrical movie in the series in 16 years and part of the 20th anime anniversary that began in 2024. Yuichi Fukuda, known for his comedy work on »Gintama« and »Yoshihiko«, serves as screenwriter and chief director. The direction is handled by Fumitoshi Oizaki, and the film is produced by BN Pictures. The music is composed by Eishi Segawa, and the opening theme »Mata Kaetteketa Kero! to March« is performed by ano and Sosuke (from the comedy band «Sissonne»). Special guest voice actors include Jesse (SixTONES) as the newly created Keronian siblings Aruru and Deruru, along with numerous other well-known voices.

»Shingekijoban☆Keroro Gunso Fukatsushite Sokko Chikyu Metsubo no Kiki de arimasu!« opens in Japanese theaters on June 26, 2026, and is distributed by KADOKAWA and Bandai Namco Filmworks.
