Extensive new production details have been announced for the upcoming anime series "Marriage Toxin". These include the introduction of additional voice actors, the release of a main poster, and the premiere of a first official preview video.

The series is based on the action-comic series of the same name by Mizuki Yoda, which is published in Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine. The plot follows the unusual duo of professional killer Gero Hikaru and con artist Shirosaki Mei. The two are forced by the underworld to participate as a couple in an extremely demanding marriage market, a dangerous event hosted annually by criminal organizations.

Six further roles and their respective voice actors have been officially confirmed:

- Anna Nagase takes on the role of Kyōko Himekawa, a thief who returns stolen artworks to their rightful owners.

- Mariya Ise lends her voice to Shizuku Usio, a businesswoman of the underworld known as a "water user".

- The shy Shiori Ureshino, heiress to a large corporation, is voiced by Asaki Yūkawa.

- Sōma Saitō voices Gen'ya Naruko, the last descendant of a line of "clay users".

- Akina Shirahama portrays Kimie Arashiyama, a descendant with the unusual ability of a "hamster user".

- Tsuchiya Shinba gives his voice to the charismatic contract killer hunter Tōichi Nakagawa.

The now presented main poster gathers the central figures of the story. At the center are the protagonist Gero Hikaru with his characteristic poison needle weapon and his partner Shirosaki Mei, who holds a ring box. The newly introduced characters are grouped around them.

The released first preview trailer offers insights into the action-packed world of the series. Shown are, among other things, confrontations with high-caliber opponents, scenes from the challenges of the marriage market, and short sequences that demonstrate Gero's abilities as an elite killer.

Nobuhiro Kori is responsible for directing the series. The animation is produced by Bones Film studio, a subsidiary of the renowned Bones studio. The main roles are voiced by Haruki Ishiya as Gero Hikaru and Shion Wakayama as Shirosaki Mei. The series is scheduled to air in April 2026.
