New details about the anime series "Yomi no Tsugai" (Daemons of the Shadow Realm)

Additional details have now been revealed for the upcoming anime adaptation of the manga series Yomi no Tsugai (English: Daemons of the Shadow Realm) by Hiromu Arakawa. The information includes new cast members, the theme music, and a first extensive trailer.

The plot is based on the manga series by Hiromu Arakawa, who is also known for Fullmetal Alchemist, which has been running since December 2021. The animated adaptation is being produced by Studio Bones Film under the direction of Masahiro Andō. The broadcast is scheduled to begin on April 4, 2026.

The story follows the twins Yuru and Asa, who live in a remote mountain community. While Yuru leads a seemingly normal life, his sister Asa is kept in a cage to fulfill a mysterious duty for the village. Their fate takes a turn when the village is attacked and Yuru encounters supernatural beings called Tsugai (English: Daemons), who help him uncover the truth about his family.

In addition to the previously announced main voices, further voice actors for important roles have been confirmed:

- Takako Honda and Rikiya Koyama portray the left and right sides of the Tsugai that accompanies Yuru.

- Miyuri Shimabukuro voices the character Hana, who provides support to Yuru.

- Junichi Suwabe takes on the role of Jin, a man who pursues Yuru.

The musical score for the series is provided by well-known Japanese artists. The opening theme for the first part of the series is the song "Tobu Toki" by Vaundy. The ending theme selected is the song "Tobou yo" by yama. Both tracks can be heard in the released main trailer.

Prior to the series premiere, special events for fans are planned. These include an exclusive advance screening and a talk event with cast members, scheduled to take place on March 22 at the Shinjuku Piccadilly in Tokyo.
