The Legend of Mana: The Teardrop Crystal anime official website features a promotional image and video of the series. In addition, some members of the cast and production team of the series were introduced on the official website. The revealed voice actors include Nobunaga Shimazaki, Yuichiro Umehara, and Kaori Nazuka, who voice Shiloh, Ruri/Elazul, and Shinju-hime/Pearl, respectively. The anime is based on a 1999 game by Square Enix. Warner Bros. Japan is producing the anime.

Masato Jinbo is directing the anime and is also responsible for building the series. Taro Ikegami is in charge of character designs, while Yoko Shimomura is composing the music.

In Legend of Mana, the player embarks on an adventure to find the so-called Mana Tree. The action role-playing game title was released on June 23, 2021 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and PC via Steam. Due to certain events, the world has been left empty and thanks to magical artifacts, the protagonist can create cities, dungeons and scenarios to advance the game's plot.
