The Japanese publisher Kadokawa has released the second trailer for the anime Tensei Ōjo to Tensai Reijō no Mahō Kakumei, revealing new details. The promotional video confirms that the series will premiere in January 2023 and showcases the voices of additional cast members, along with a preview of the opening theme titled "Arc-en-ciel." Doriko, a songwriter for Vocaloid, composed and produced this opening song, which is performed by the singer Hanatan.

The series is based on a light novel series written by Pieru Karasu. The author originally published this story on the Japanese website Shōsetsuka ni Narō between February 2019 and August 2021. It was later picked up by Fujimi Shobō and published under the Fujimi Fantasia Bunko imprint. So far, the publisher has released the first 5 volumes with illustrations by Yuri Kisaragi, with the fifth volume published in Japan on August 20, 2022.

Karasu's work also has a manga adaptation illustrated by Harutsugu Nadaka. Four volumes have been released so far.
