The production of a television anime series for the well-known manga "LIAR GAME" has been specified with further information. The release is scheduled for April 2026.

Two central roles and their voice actors have been announced:

- Nao Kanzaki will be portrayed by voice actress Saya Nitomi. The character is an exceptionally honest and gullible student who often gets into trouble due to her personality. Nevertheless, she possesses strong willpower and acts decisively.

- Shin'ichi Akiyama receives his voice from Takeo Otsuka. This character is a former con artist genius who has just served a prison sentence. Although he hesitates at first, he cannot stand idly by when Nao is drawn into the dangerous "Liar Game" and decides to participate himself.

To introduce the series, a second teaser visual and a short teaser trailer have been released. The key visual shows the two main characters Nao and Akiyama back to back, overlaid with the contradictory slogans "Doubt" and "Believe". The trailer features the voices of the two characters for the first time.

"LIAR GAME" is a psychological thriller manga by Shinobu Kaitani, which was serialized in the magazine Weekly Young Jump from 2005 to 2015 and celebrates its 20th series anniversary in 2025. The story revolves around high-risk games where participants compete for enormous sums of money through deception and psychological manipulation.
