New details on the second season of "Mato Seihei no Slave" revealed

As part of the "Jump Festa 2026", further information about the upcoming second season of the anime series "Mato Seihei no Slave" (English title: Chained Soldier) was presented. The focus of the announcement was a new main promotional video as well as the announcement of additional voice actors.

The released video offers insightful glimpses into the plot of the continuation. Among other things, scenes introducing new characters as well as intense battle sequences can be seen. A special focus is on the protagonist Yūki Wakura, whose appearance is shown in various "slave" forms, which are influenced by the abilities of different female leaders. Additionally, a brief look is given at the "Banquet of the East" scene, which is popular in the original manga.

Three more voice actors for characters of the influential "Azuma" family were announced. Their roles are:

- Tōka Azuma is voiced by Shiori Izawa.

- Homare Azuma receives her voice from Yuna Nemoto.

- Maaia Azuma is portrayed by Kaori Maeda.

The second season is animated by the studios Passione and Hayabusa Film. The direction is handled by Masafumi Tamura, while Yasuhiro Nakanishi continues to be responsible for the series composition.

The musical accompaniment consists of several theme songs. The opening "Hikari yo, Boku ni." is performed by Akari Kitō, who also voices the main character Kyouka Uzen. Two songs are planned for the endings: "Cipher Cipher" by Kana Hanazawa and "LOVE LOVE Beam" by Maaya Uchida.

The series is based on the manga of the same name by Takahiro (author) and Yōhei Takemura (artist), which has been published on "Shonen Jump+" since 2019. The story is set in a world where portals to a dangerous dimension called "Mato" have opened. Only women can gain superhuman powers from it by consuming mysterious fruits. The plot follows the student Yūki Wakura, who accidentally ends up in this dimension and is saved by the leader Kyouka Uzen. Through her special ability, he becomes her "slave" and in return gains the power to fight against the monsters of the Mato.

The first season of the anime adaptation was broadcast in early 2024.
